EGLE SUPPORTS BENTON HARBOR
MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT, GREAT LAKES, and ENERGY; STATE OF MICHIGAN
CASE STUDY
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and the State of Michigan are working hard to support the community of Benton Harbor and its efforts to ensure citizens have access to clean drinking water and promote ways to reduce lead exposure in the community.

MOMENT Strategies partnered with EGLE and the State of Michigan to coordinate the external communications of the various state-led and grassroots efforts in Benton Harbor, Michigan. We developed a sustained earned media campaign engaging a variety of media ranging from print and TV to community-based outlets to keep the community updated on project milestones and opportunities to access resources. We also led multiple in person events to engage community members in a meaningful way.

MOMENT continues to be instrumental in communicating the progress and promoting transparency of clean water initiatives, building trust within the community, and opportunities for partnership in the City of Benton Harbor.
