CASE STUDY

AfroFuture made its U.S. debut in Detroit in August 2025, transforming the city into a global cultural stage. Over two days, the festival drew over 20,000 attendees and more than 30 performers, blending live music, art and experiences into a one-of-a-kind celebration of Black culture, creativity and entrepreneurship.

  • MOMENT Strategies played a pivotal role in elevating AfroFuture’s profile and amplifying its cultural significance. Working closely with organizers, we crafted compelling narratives tied to Detroit’s legacy of Black artistry while positioning the festival as a future-facing movement. We secured executive interviews to ensure key voices shaped the public conversation. Alongside executive interviews, we identified stories to showcase local voices, spotlighting Detroit artists, chefs and vendors in the media.

  • Through trusted media relationships and strategic partnerships, we delivered over 70 placements, 10+ interviews and a 58M+ audience reach across TV, radio, print, digital and social. On-site, our team managed press and provided real-time storytelling support to capture the festival’s impact as it unfolded.

Our efforts cemented AfroFuture’s place in Detroit’s cultural landscape, showcasing it as a movement of creativity, community and economic opportunity.
